Towel for showering after the session.

Please note - massage oil is likely to stain any form of clothing.

Participants are encouraged to be naked during the workshop.

Participants must be comfortable with being in the presence of other naked men.

    Why offer this?

'In the absence of touching and being touched, people of all ages can sicken and grow touch-starved. Touch seems to be as essential as sunlight.' Diane Ackerman

Social distancing and lockdown have forced us to adopt ways of living which go against our natural instincts as social animals. We have to almost re-learn how to reconnect with each other as humans both physically and emotionally.

Although many associate massage with eroticism, I want to promote massage as a form of connection and intimacy that does not have to be sexual, but can be physically therapeutic for tense muscles, tired souls, and stressed minds.

These workshops run parallel to the ethos of groups such as Brewer Street Yoga that promote social interaction and activities of a non-sexual nature between men.

These workshops form part of a strategy to build a community of men who would like to be able to exchange non-sexual massages with each other to support each other both physically and mentally through the healing power of human touch.

To build this community, these basic introductory massage workshops where people can learn what to do with a body, a massage table, and some oil in a safe, fun, and interactive environment are now on offer.

Participants who have already done an introductory workshop have attended the same workshop again and have found it beneficial to practice and reinforce the techniques learned previously. Repeat attenders are therefore welcomed.

This introductory workshop is a bronze level session. See definitions below:

Bronze level = formal taught workshop for those with basic or no massage experience. Instruction to participants will be given by a qualified massage therapist

Bronze A = back, shoulders, chest, abdomen, legs

Bronze B = head (scalp and face), neck, feet, arms, hands

Silver level = informal practice session with no formal instruction where amateur participants have an opportunity to practice their massage skills on each other. It is recommended that participants attend at least one Bronze A AND one Bronze B workshop before joining a silver level session. Professionals also welcome.

Gold level = an informal massage exchange session for professional massage therapists with qualifications / those who massage regularly as part of their occupation (proof of employment/qualification required in advance) to massage each other.

I look forward to building a community of men who massage men together with you!

    Nudity and arousal:

It is completely normal that participants may become aroused (have an erection) during the course of a massage workshop involving full or partial nudity. This is part and parcel of male physiology in response to touch and should be nothing to be ashamed of.

Participants of the workshop are reminded and expected to be respectful to each other. This includes refraining from engaging in sexual acts including the deliberate and purposeful stimulation of the genitals (i.e. oral sex, masturbation, penetrative sex).

The ethos of these introductory massage workshops is to learn massage techniques of the major muscle groups. It is not an erotic/tantric/lingam/genital massage workshop.

We accept no liability for loss, damage, injury, or illness which may occur during the workshop.

    *PLEASE NOTE*

This event takes place on Tuesday 8th September - the day AFTER the actual International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on Monday 7th September.

Let the clean air blow the cobwebs from your body. Air is medicine.

    (Lillian Russell)

The air is the only place free from prejudice.

    (Bessie Coleman)

Roses are red, violets and blue, bad hair days are OK, but bad air days will screw you.

    (Abhijit Naskar)

The International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies was declared by the United Nations in 2019. This year's theme is Clean Air, Healthy Cities: Acting Together for People and Planet.

Please note, this naturist social event will take place on Tuesday 8th September 2026 which is the day after the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies (Monday 7th September 2026).

Clean air is fundamental to human health, resilient economies, and a stable climate. The day is pioneered by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with support from the Climate and Clean Air Coalition.

Tackling air pollution relates to a number of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including numbers 3 (Health and Wellbeing),  7 (Clean Energy), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities),  13 (Climate Action), and  15 (Life on Land).

As a former paediatrician, I have seen the direct impact of air pollution on the health and life expectancy of children in low-resource settings. The World Health Organization (WHO) is one the key supporters in this mission of improving air quality.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) also recognises the importance of clean air, supporting the work of the Global Future Council on Clean Air and the UK-based Clean Air Fund.

    ***

In honour of this, the theme for BONOBO!'s  September event will be air.

Please come with a short, true personal story from your own life that relates to air. Please think widely! Please adopt some blue sky thinking in interpreting this theme!

    Coming up for air?

Hard to breathe? Light and airy?

Air, fire, water, or earth sign?

    Air on a G-String?

    Air conditioning or air filter?

    Airborne?

    ***

As ever, the gathering is a non-sexual naked party for those who identify as men.

I would like to reiterate this is NOT a group sex party / orgy!

BONOBO!  is in a studio space of a private residence within a converted factory warehouse. The feel of the venue is minimalist, with sparse furniture. Like a gallery space, I would encourage naked guests to keep circulating around the room to keep the socializing and conversation flowing! There will be some seating!

This is not an event for sexual activity. Although arousal (erection of the penis) is a normal part of male physiology and can be expected in the presence of nudity, the focus of the event is to share food, drink, and conversation and not bodily fluids or sexual pleasures!  By all means please make connections, exchange contact details, and be friendly during the party.

I kindly ask all guests to respect the event as a safe space where guests can socialize without the pressure for sex. Please do not hesitate to speak to me as the host during the event if you have any questions or concerns about such activity. Please be respectful of each other - it would be nice not to have to be a sex monitor!

I am looking to build an online community of like-minded men that will be enhanced by meetings in person. In order to do this, I would ask interested men to be open to using an online platform (wildapricot.org), and to make a financial contribution towards events using an online payment system.

When booking on for an event, I would ask for dietary and drink requirements, allergies, and preferences in advance of the event. I would then use the income from bookings to provide everything for the event, including food and drink. This is not a profit-making enterprise and any surplus funds will be put towards future events.

As a result, participants do not have to bring anything to an event apart from themselves. Everything will be provided for based on the booking form information and the financial contribution provided in advance.

Please note however - no online booking? No entry.

Bookings strictly close at 12 noon on the day of the event (Tuesday 8th September).

    Doors open at 6pm.

    Food is served at 7pm.

    Stories start at 8pm.

Last entry to the event is at 8pm before the storytelling commences.

For those who have been before, please tell at least ONE new person you think would enjoy the experience and encourage them to sign up.

    Let's build this community together.

This party is for any man regardless of your relationship status or sexuality. Whether you are single, married, partnered to a man or a woman - all men who identify as men are welcome.

I look forward to seeing you and hearing your stories of air in Dolland Street in early September (the day after the International Day of Clean Air and Blue Skies).

The musical inspiration for this event's title by The Hollies has been covered many times, including by Olivia Newton-John and Simply Red.

I am bemused by the image I chose for this event...those trees are supposed to look like lungs, but actually look more like kidneys to me! What do you think?

With all my airs and graces,

    Lalith

Bad things do happen in the world like war, natural disaster, disease. But out of those situations arise stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

    (Daryn Kagan)

Apocalypse can mean the unveiling of the deeper self of humanity.

    (Barbara Marx Hubbard)

Every time we mention the world, we must remember that it is going to end.

    (Edwin Balmer)

In a world in which both man-made and natural disasters are ever-increasing, we haven't lost everything until we have lost the ability to laugh.

    (Cord Jefferson)

The International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction is championed by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).

This year's theme is Resilience Starts at Home, recognising that the home is both where disaster impacts are felt and the frontline of building resilience. Homes are where people live, sleep, care for each other, and seek shelter and security. This aligns with 2026's session of the World Urban Forum organized by UN-Habitat.

Disaster risk reduction relates to many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, but this year's theme of 'home' is most relevant to SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which includes making human settlements inclusive and resilient.

    ***

In honour of this, the theme for BONOBO!'s  October event will be disaster.

A disaster is an event that results in great harm, damage, death, or serious difficulty.

A disaster also describes a situation that is very unsuccessful or extremely bad.

Please come with a short, true personal story from your own life that relates to a disaster. Please think widely, but please also consider the theme of 'home'.

    A natural disaster?

    A man-made disaster e.g. war, industrial accident?

    A disastrous relationship?

    A disastrous result?

A financial, culinary, artistic, or academic disaster?

Does your paid or voluntary work involve risk reduction or post-disaster management?

The film inspiration for this event's title is a film released the year I was born (1979) by director Francis Ford Coppola. Apocalypse Now is a film about the US-initiated war in Vietnam, a man-made disaster. It is loosely based on the 1899 novella Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

There is also a song from the noughties by US songstress Kelly Clarkson called Beautiful Disaster. I particularly love her acoustic version.

    Yours disastrously,

Oscar-nominated actor Timothee Chalamet came under fire earlier in 2026 for controversially commenting that 'no-one cares' about opera,  also insinuating that it was a dying art form.

Maybe more people care about opera than he thinks...and there may be more than a few in the BONOBO! community...

Llywelyn Ifan Jones' autumn programme is a dramatic shift from his spring performances of pop diva hits to the emotionally-stirring world of opera.

Come listen to his interpretation of operatic classics arranged for solo harp.

What type of pieces will feature in the programme?

    Arias, duets, ensembles, choruses, overtures?

    And by which composers?

Gounod, Verdi, Mascagni, Mozart, Puccini perhaps?

    Come and find out...

    'There is no demure tinkling.

Expect to be drawn to the very edge of your seat by the commitment, warmth, and fluency of his playing.'

A powerful description by BBC's Hinterland composer John Hardy to describe Lyon & Healy Award recipient and 1st prize winner of the 2020 Camac Harp Competition at the North London Festival.

This harp recital is a naturist event for those who identify as men.

It will be held in a body-positive social space for men only.

Attendees are expected to be nude in the performance area along with the performing artist.

I would like to reiterate this is NOT a group sex party / orgy.

Please respect the event as a safe space where guests can enjoy live music and socialize without the pressure for sex.

Skills Required:           None – just a willingness to learn and be taught!

    Who this is for:

Any men who want to get a taster of how to massage another person using oil on a massage table. This is NOT a session teaching how to massage on floor mats.

    What to bring:

    Lalith

    Nudity and arousal:

It is completely normal that participants may become aroused (have an erection) during the course of a massage workshop involving full or partial nudity. This is part and parcel of male physiology in response to touch and should be nothing to be ashamed of.

Participants of the workshop are reminded and expected to be respectful to each other. This includes refraining from engaging in sexual acts including the deliberate and purposeful stimulation of the genitals (i.e. oral sex, masturbation, penetrative sex).

World Sustainable Transport Day is observed annually on November 26th. It focuses broadly on core pillars like green mobility, intermodal connectivity, and climate action.

The day falls under the broader framework of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport which starts this year 2026 until 2035.

The responsibility for action related to both the day and the decade fall under the remit of the Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) within the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).

    Did you know?

Globally, the average annual carbon footprint per individual is 5.9 tons

Living car-free can reduce your annual carbon footprint by up to 3.6 tons.

Switching to an electric vehicle (EV) can reduce your carbon footprint by an average of 2 tons per year.

    ***

In honour of this, the theme for BONOBO!'s November event will be transport.

Transport is the movement of people, animals, and goods from one place to another.

It includes the vehicles (e.g. cars, trains, planes) and paths (e.g. roads, rails, skyways), and the systems that guide them (e.g. air traffic control, traffic lights, signals).

Please come with a short, true personal story from your own life that relates to transport. Please think widely, but please also consider the theme of sustainability.

A story of a particular mode of transport that you use?

A story of a particular mode of transport that you don't/won't/can't use?

A story of who or what you transport?

A story about a transport success? A story about a transport disaster?

A story of how transport has positively or negatively affected your life?

Does your job or hobby involve a form of transportation?

A unique form of transport from a different geographical region or period of history?

No entry.

Bookings strictly close at 12 noon on the day of the event (Thursday 26th November).

I look forward to seeing you and hearing your stories of (preferably sustainable) transport in Dolland Street in late November on World Sustainable Transport Day, in the first year of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport.

Check out this youtube clip on how to beat the climate crisis with green transport by the UN Secretary General's Youth Advisory Group.

Did you know the world famous Nutcracker ballet is the result of artistic contributions from across Europe?

It started with a macabre 1816 novella by German author E.T.A. Hoffmann called The Nutcracker and the Mouse King (Nussknacker und Mausekönig).

In 1844, French author Alexandre Dumas adapted Hoffmann's story to a more child-friendly fantasy tale.

French-born choreographer Marius Petipa assisted by Russian choreographer Lev Ivanov brought Dumas' adaptation to the ballet stage in 1892.

Petipa had previously worked with Russian composer Pyotr IllyichTchaikovsky on Sleeping Beauty and wanted to collaborate again on this new Nutcracker ballet score.

So in the run-up to Christmas 2026, James Hodgson and Lalith Wijedoru want to perform Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite for the BONOBO! community as a piano duet.

    I Overture

II March of the Tin Soldiers

III Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

    IV Trepak - Russian Dance

    V  Coffee - Arab Dance

    VI Tea - Chinese Dance

VII Dance of the Reed Flutes

    VIII Waltz of the Flowers

The other half of the program will be W.A Mozart's Sonata in D Major K448 for not one but TWO pianos.

    I Allegro con spirito

    II Andante

    III. Allegro molto
